There is something peaceful about lying in bed reading while it is raining outside. (Not the first time I have lied in bed) My cats do not seem to be bothered by the thunder.

A basic part of the law is the concept of "standing" and "actual cases and controversies". The Supreme Court in its corrupt zest to take away rights took a case where there was no plaintiff with a same-sex couple who wanted a website to commemorate their wedding. They issued an advisory opinion on a nonexistent case. Nevertheless, the precedent is binding on lower courts. As an attorney this makes me me so very angry.
