What a way to start the day! ☀️ Lavelle Law hosted our first-ever game show, “The Business Showdown,” at this week’s Good Morning Schaumburg, bringing together business knowledge, game show energy, and a whole lot of heart.

Three head-to-head matchups and multiple rounds of questions kept the room laughing, cheering, and competing from the first buzzer to the last! 🏆

And the best part? The winning team chose to give their prize money away, donating $1,000.00 to Schaumburg Township Veteran Services in support of the veterans and military families they serve. ❤️

Congrats to Jack Lydon of Lavelle Law on receiving the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy Award for his pro bono work helping save Chicago’s historic Walser House! https://tinyurl.com/yc5r28kx

Austin Coming Together (ACT) has acquired the J.J. Walser House, a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed residence in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. Landmarks Illinois Technical Assistance and Programs Manager Amber Delgado joined ACT representatives and other community partners at the historic home on July 27 to celebrate the acquisition.

Built in 1903, the Walser house is a significant example of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Prairie-period work. Landmarks Illinois included it on the 2025 Most Endangered Historic Places in Illinois following years of the property sitting vacant and in foreclosure with mounting maintenance needs. ACT is a collective impact organization working to improve quality of life in the Austin community and aims to bring the Walser House back to life as a cultural anchor.

“We commend Austin Coming Together for its vision and determination to preserve the J.J. Walser House, a nationally recognized architectural and cultural asset on Chicago’s West Side,” Kendra Parzen, Landmarks Illinois Director of Preservation Services, said in an ACT press release announcing its acquisition.
