Good Afternoon Willow Point!
Great news…. Fountains for the entryway ponds are ordered, and on the way. There are just a few minor details we have to shore up before install, but we are on track to have them in and running by June 10th.
The Board has also been exploring options in the entryway for a covering (we have been calling it a Gazebo). Basically to provide shelter from the rain and direct sun for the kids waiting for the school bus, and second…. This structure becoming Willow Points very own sort of “Club House” that could be used for children’s birthday parties, neighborhood block parties, random weekend BBQ’s or even sanctioned neighborhood events (Ice Cream Socials, Community meetings) and many other multi-use type things.
With our current design, the structure would be roughly 20’ X 25’, reinforced concrete slab, solid steel vertical supports, pressure treated roofing structure, covered in decorated corrugated aluminum sheeting. For now, there would be simple LED lighting installed, and placed on a photo device (so the lights are only on while it is dark). The lighting should drive down any possibility of unwanted loitering in the area. This basically means there would be VERY little maintenance costs to upkeep this structure. Currently, there is no seating planned to be installed, but we have debated specialized seating in the future if the need arises.
The BOD, along with Associa have done extensive research on “on going cost maintenance” and have been ran through the budgeting parameters to have negligible effect on our long range budget vs. our internal area beatification projects.
We would love to hear any feedback either For, or Against this entryway structure before any final decisions are made to move forward. I know this project has been asked for for a number of years, but it appears to finally be coming online and in the near future
