The housing market isn’t crashing. It’s changing.

If you’ve been waiting for the housing market to “crash” before making your next move, it may be time to take another look at what the numbers are actually telling us.

Today’s market is very different from the buying frenzy of 2020 and 2021, but different doesn’t necessarily mean weaker.

🏡 Homeowners have significant equity. Two-thirds of homeowners nationwide either own their homes outright or have more than 50% equity.

🔑 Foreclosures remain historically low. While you may see headlines about increases, overall foreclosure activity remains well below historical norms.

📈 Home prices are stabilizing, not collapsing. Nationally, prices are still growing year over year, just at a much more moderate pace than we saw during the pandemic-era boom.

In other words, we’re seeing a housing market that is finding its balance.
