If you’re on work restrictions after a Georgia workplace injury, how you respond to your employer matters. If the work they offer falls within your doctor’s restrictions, you generally need to try it—but you shouldn’t ignore symptoms if the job is aggravating your injury.

Stay calm, clearly communicate your restrictions, and if the work is making your condition worse, notify your employer and schedule an appointment with your authorized medical provider as soon as possible.

A simple refusal to let another driver merge can turn into an expensive accident fast. In this reaction, Georgia attorney Ty Wilson explains why both drivers may share responsibility when aggressive driving leads to a crash—and why the insurance companies may refuse to cover the damage.

Sometimes proving a point on the road just isn’t worth the price.

Is your employer asking you to work outside your medical restrictions after a work injury? Don’t stay silent.

Make sure your employer has a copy of your restrictions, clearly communicate what you cannot safely do, and document exactly what you’re being asked to do. You may also need to report the issue to HR and tell your doctor about anything that could aggravate your injury.

Protect yourself. Document everything.

Your employer should not pressure you to work outside your medical restrictions after a workplace injury. Even if they say, “just this once,” lifting too much or performing tasks your doctor restricted could aggravate your injury.

Georgia workers’ compensation attorney Ty Wilson explains why you need to know your restrictions, follow them carefully, and speak up when your employer asks you to do something outside of them.

Lawyers are often asked about whether someone should represent themselves. This type of question comes up at parties, reunions and even family dinners. It goes something like this: "I have a friend (it's ALWAYS a friend), who was arrested, given a ticket, is being sued, or wants to sue someone." The person then provides an abbreviated version of the facts followed by "This shouldn't be too tough of a case, right? Couldn't she represent herself in Court?"

Regardless of whether you are fighting a case against you or looking to initiate a lawsuit, here are ten reasons to hire a lawyer.

A white car suddenly slams on the brakes, creating a rear-end collision that could easily put the following driver at fault. But what happens when the driver in front stops unexpectedly? A dash cam can capture critical evidence showing exactly what happened—and that footage could make a major difference when fighting a ticket or defending yourself in court.

In this video, we break down why maintaining a safe following distance matters, how a sudden stop can complicate a rear-end collision, and why having video evidence may help support your side of the story. If you receive a ticket, consider pleading not guilty and speaking with an attorney about your options. Always drive safely and leave enough space to react.
