We know it feels safer to just stay quiet and keep the peace.

But in a divorce, silence doesn't protect you. Facts do. Documentation does. Evidence helps move your case forward and gives you favorable outcomes.

Many people assume they have plenty of time to figure things out. They move out without a plan. They take advice from friends. They send texts they can't take back. They make decisions based on emotion instead of information.

The problem is that some choices can limit your options later.

We've seen people unintentionally weaken their position by:
• Waiting too long to get legal guidance
• Ignoring temporary court orders
• Failing to document important issues
• Involving children in adult conflict
• Agreeing to terms just to "get it over with"

The good news? Most of these mistakes are preventable.

You do not need to have all the answers today. But understanding your options before making major decisions can protect your future, your finances, and your family.

When custody is involved, courts aren't looking for the "better" parent.

They're looking for the stable one.

Stable routine. Stable environment. Stable communication.

Here's what that actually means in practice and how it affects outcomes.

📌 Save this if you're navigating a custody situation or think one might be coming.

Every marriage has hard seasons. But some things people are calling "a rough patch" are actually patterns — and those don't fix themselves.

This was the kind of outcome that people often assume won’t happen.

After nearly two years of litigation, multiple relocations, long-distance parenting challenges, and a trial, our client (an active duty service member and father) was awarded primary physical custody of his two children.

The Court also granted:
• Tie-breaking authority on all major decisions
• A substantial amount of child support
• A structured long-distance parenting plan focused on stability for the children moving forward

And as if that wasn’t enough good news, immediately after the ruling, our client learned he had been selected to commission as an officer.

We’re proud of the outcome, but even more proud of the work our client put in to get here. 🤍 Thank you for your trust!

Co-parenting is hard enough without arguments about "what was actually said."

Parenting apps don't fix the relationship, but they do create a record. Having that central database matters more than most people realize.
