Snyder-Hall: Buchanan votes fuel 'toxic politics'

The recent guest column in the Sarasota Herald Tribune by Dr. Snyder-Hall was informative. It is important that we know what they are actually doing, not just what they are saying. Knowledge is power and essential to self-governance, and not just during election season. Thank you Dr. Snyder-Hall.

The Voter's Self Defense System

Congressman Vern Buchanan voted No to HR 264 which would have sent the appropriations to the Senate to fund the U.S Treasury. Although there were Republican votes and passed the House, Congressman Buchanan voted NO. So much for Bipartisanship and his help reopening the Federal Government.

Shapiro: Highs, lows of congressional candidacy

I want to thank the people who contacted me about my recent guest editorial in the Sarasota Herald Tribune. The issues we raised during the campaign should not end on election night. I am going to keep the conversation and work going by discussing pending legislation, how it affects us, and encourage people to contact our Representative with our concerns. Let’s stay tuned and engaged. Have a Happy and Safe Holiday season.

I want to congratulate Congressman Buchanan on his victory this evening. This was a spirited campaign that focused on the issues facing our families and neighbors, and I’m proud of the race we ran.

This campaign stood for something. We fought for healthcare, Social Security, Medicare, and our environment. We fought for the rights of others and to make our government more just and fair.

I want to thank everyone who supported my candidacy and who volunteered their time and energies to help spread our message. Your support is deeply appreciated and valued by me and my family.

Mrs. Vera is a longtime voter who called our office asking for a ride to the polls on Election Day.

I decided to drive her myself! From Ohio originally, she said healthcare and compassion are driving her to vote today.

‪Everyone we’ve talked to is excited to vote, knows the issues, and has given a lot of thought to who and what they will support.‬

RED TIDE REPORT: High levels remain on the Suncoast

Our environment, beaches, health, economy, and way of life are a stake in this election.

I'll never take a dime from Big Sugar and am running for Congress to end the influence of polluters in Washington.

Will you join the movement? Vote tomorrow to protect our environment.

Change doesn't happen easily. It occurs because good people fight for it.

I went to a lunchtime canvass launch in Sarasota today. We had volunteers who've taken time off work, who are making calls during lunch breaks. These are the folks that make change happen.

Thank you for everything you've done for this campaign and to remind folks that tomorrow is Election Day!

11/05/2018

I'm voting for:

✓ Expanded healthcare access
✓ Protected Social Security & Medicare
✓ A justice system that is actually just
✓ Gun safety measures that protect our schools and houses of worship
✓ A clean and protected environment

What are you voting FOR tomorrow?

Started the day in Hillsborough to visit friends as they went into a morning service, then off to early voting sites, and then canvassing in Manatee. We criss-crossed the district and met hundreds of people - all who are planning to vote and excited for change.

Tuesday is looking good for our families and communities!

We have roughly 50 hours until the polls close on Election Day, but we’re not slowing down for even one minute. Wished a group of canvassers good luck as they hit the doors to remind folks to vote!

Today is the last day for early voting in Hillsborough County!

Took the opportunity to say hello to voters and answer any questions they may have about our campaign!

Feeling good given the number of enthusiastic voters we keep meeting who say they’ve never voted before or this is their first time Democratic.
