⁉️How can you do that? You can file for Homestead by filling a DR501 Form with the County Property Appraiser’s office as soon as you have established your Homestead.

🗓️ Your Homestead will become effective on January 1st of the year following the year in which you established your Homestead, so long as you file for Homestead no later than March 1st of the year following the year in which you established your Homestead.

What is the difference between title and a property deed?
In short, the term “title” is a legal term stating that you are the owner of a property. Holding “title” to a property gives you the right of possession, control, disposition, enjoyment, etc.

Property deeds are necessary to transfer title. A “deed” is a signed legal document to show that you own the rights to the property. When you sell your home, you’ll sign your house over to the new owners, transferring the ownership of your home to the buyer.
