Your military record should tell the full story of your service. 🇺🇸🎖️

If your DD214 or military service records are missing medals, ribbons, awards, or other earned recognition, those omissions may be eligible for correction. An incomplete record is more than a paperwork issue. In some cases, correcting military records can also affect eligibility for certain VA benefits.

Military record errors can include:

🎖️ Missing medals or ribbons
🏅 Missing awards or decorations
📄 Incorrect or incomplete service information
✏️ Other errors or omissions in your military records

You earned the recognition. Your official record should accurately reflect it.

Same injury. Same diagnosis. So why did another veteran receive a different VA disability rating? 🤔🇺🇸

VA disability ratings are based on more than the name of a service-connected condition. The VA evaluates the severity of your symptoms and how your condition affects your functioning based on the applicable rating criteria.

That means two veterans with the same diagnosis can receive different VA disability ratings because their symptoms, limitations, medical evidence, and exam findings may be different.

📋 Evidence that can play an important role includes:
• Medical records
• C&P exam findings
• Treatment history
• Other supporting evidence

Veterans and Families need to know this. Please share:

VA is playing a nasty game! When a veteran challenges the back-pay period arguing the VA did not grant the benefits to the proper award date, the VA will send the veteran to another examination. We all know these exams are garbage. When the bad evidence comes back the VA will try to reduce or sever the benefits. It PI**ES us off!

VA health care and VA disability compensation are not the same benefit, and being enrolled in one does not automatically mean you receive the other. 🇺🇸

🏥 VA health care helps eligible veterans access medical services, treatment, and ongoing care.

💰 VA disability compensation provides monthly, tax-free payments to veterans with qualifying service-connected disabilities.

This distinction can be confusing, especially if you already receive treatment through the VA and are wondering whether you qualify for VA disability benefits. Your health care enrollment and your disability compensation eligibility are evaluated separately.

Understanding the difference can help you make sure you’re pursuing the VA benefits you may be entitled to based on your military service.
