Based in our Houston office, Sean advises clients in all corporate services matters, including the purchase and sale of equity and assets, real estate transactions, and franchise opportunities. He has extensive experience in contract negotiations, commercial and residential lease transactions, and corporate governance.

Sean co-leads our Vets to Ventures series alongside John Woods, exemplifying the firm’s dedication to supporting veteran entrepreneurs. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the VEL Institute and served as a U.S. Navy Officer.

Sean earned his J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and holds a B.A. from Villanova University.

Adams and Reese welcomes Jack Pontin to our Litigation Practice Group and to our New Orleans office! Jack represents corporate clients through all stages of the litigation process, including on dispute resolution measures and through any litigious issues impacting their operations.

Jack is a former law clerk with Adams and Reese, Louisiana Department of Justice, and the office of the Jefferson Parish District Attorney.

A native, Jack is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, The University of Mississippi - Ole Miss, and Jesuit High School of New Orleans. He was editor-in-chief of the Loyola Journal of Public Interest Law.

We dress up quite nicely in formal attire. Adams and Reese was a founding sponsor of the 2024 Gavel Gala, held Nov. 7 at City Club Of Baton Rouge Downtown, BR. The Gala is a fundraiser presented by the Baton Rouge Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Baton Rouge Bar Association.

Julia advises companies in all litigious and civil law matters that impact their business. She is a former law clerk at Adams and Reese, where she gained experience in insurance, maritime, employment law, and civil procedure.

Julia is a graduate of Tulane Law School and Texas A&M University. She graduated with honors from both universities and was a member of the Tulane Law Review.

As we celebrate , we have a special "Vets to Ventures" article this month. We asked Adams and Reese employees to reflect on their service, how they celebrate Veterans Day, and on their inspiration to serve.

“As an immigrant to America, I felt a duty to serve this nation that had welcomed me and my family with open arms,” said Lance Felicien - Financial Services, U.S. Army.

We also asked how their military experience shaped their career. “They took a scrawny, bullied kid with little confidence right out of high school and instilled in me the will and motivation to do whatever I set my mind to,” said Kenneth M. Curtin - Construction/Litigation, U.S. Marine Corps.

Adams and Reese attorneys Rob Pinson and Fred Harwell attended the 2024 "VLS" Fall Firm Mingle presented by Vanderbilt University Law School and Vanderbilt Law Career Services. The event was held on Oct. 24 at the Nashville Music City Center.

Law firm representatives met with 1L class members. The event is set up like a table talk providing attorneys and recruiting professionals the space to connect with students about summer associate programs. Adams and Reese is proud to currently have 17 graduates of Law School.

Mengxuan is experienced in hashtag law and protection, , and navigating the legal implications of emerging technologies, including . Fluent in Chinese, Mengxuan is well-versed in Chinese laws and regulations, enabling her to assist U.S. companies looking to do business in and Chinese businesses expanding into the U.S.

Mengxuan received her J.D. from WashU Law, has an LL.M. in Comparative and International Law from SMU Dedman School of Law, and two degrees from Peking University in Beijing, China. Her studies at the University of Nottingham have provided her with a strong foundation in European laws.

Adams and Reese Legal Ethics Attorney and Partner Lucian Pera moderated a panel on "Law Firm D&I Strategy in a Changing Environment" at the Aon Law Firm Symposium.

Congratulations to Adams and Reese Partner William "Billy" Wright IV - selected as a member of the ForeKids Foundation.

Billy joins and hashtag leaders to raise money for children’s organizations throughout the Greater hashtag area. Fore!Kids produces golf tournaments, including the PGA Tour's Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Billy is also a board member of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and on the hashtag Host Committee’s Hospitality and Events subcommittee.

At Adams and Reese, Billy practices in professional liability litigation, charter and public school litigation, employment litigation, general insurance defense, and on a wide array of litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, and disputes pertaining to successions, wills, and trusts.

A service-connected disability - defined by U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs - is an illness or injury caused by, or worsened, because of active military service. There are programs that support these vets as they return to the workforce.
