Our team covered four key areas—social media, resumes, cover letters, and interviewing. Students received tips from Director of Marketing and Communications Amanda Sulcer on how to leverage social media to garner attention from law firms, and Law Career Manager Brigette Starr provided instruction on building a strong resume along with how to stand out with a thoughtful cover letter. The presentation concluded with attorneys Chris D’Amour and Chris Joseph sharing best practices for preparing for and following through with interviews.

Our Adams and Reese New Orleans office held a special reception for our client and friend Jack Jensen to congratulate him on the 2023 C. Alvin Bertel Award. Founder of TCI Trucking and Warehousing, Jack will receive the award on Nov. 8 from the World Trade Center New Orleans for his significant contributions throughout his career to the Louisiana port community.
Jack has built TCI into the largest independent trucking and warehousing company in New Orleans. Jack and his family also founded Triton Stone, which now has 30 locations and is one of the largest importers of natural stone in the country. TCI Plastics exports 1,200 containers a month out of the Port of New Orleans. Jack’s companies employ over 700 people, and they have committed more than $70 million in capital investments in industrial property in New Orleans.

Meet Claire Sauls, an Associate in our Intersection of Business and Government practice group! As part of our series, we sat down with Claire to learn more about why she decided to become an attorney and make the lateral move to Adams and Reese.
Claire's practice spans many areas, including construction, surety, business law, insurance defense and coverage, premise liability, government contracts, and commercial litigation. As an active member of the Baton Rouge community, she serves on the board of the Big River Economic and Agricultural Development Alliance (BREADA). She also volunteers her time to the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center as a judge for trial advocacy competitions, and to the 19th Judicial District Court in the Self-Help Resource Center.
Fun fact about Claire: She loves to play Christmas Carols on the piano!
