California lemon law case: a BMW i7 with a rear entertainment screen defect that failed in the first week and never got fixed.

The fold-down screen jammed and froze almost immediately. The dealer held the car for over 60 days trying to repair it, well past California's 30-day repair rule, which presumes a new car is a lemon if it sits in the shop more than 30 days within the first 18 months.

BMW pointed to parts shipping from Germany as the reason for the delay. That excuse didn't hold up, since BMW controls its own supply chain and decides how those parts move.

The result: BMW repurchased the vehicle, refunded every payment, paid off the loan, and covered attorney's fees. Our client didn't pay us anything.

If your car has a repeat defect your dealer can't fix, reach out to our team — we've seen this before.

California lemon law: Jeep Wrangler 4xe owners are getting manufacturer repurchases tied to a high-voltage battery defect that triggered a recall of more than 300,000 vehicles.

This wasn't a range or performance complaint. Jeep's own guidance told owners not to fully charge the battery, not to park it in a garage, and not to park it next to their home because of fire risk. For a plug-in hybrid built around charging, that guidance points directly to a known defect.

Under California lemon law, a defect serious enough for the manufacturer to issue a recall can qualify a Jeep Wrangler 4xe for a full repurchase — payments refunded, the loan paid off, and attorney fees covered. Our clients pay nothing out of pocket.

If you own a Jeep Wrangler 4xe and you've dealt with this recall, battery warnings, or repeated dealer visits, reach out to our team so we can look into your options under California lemon law.

California lemon law case: a BMW sunroof defect that failed four repair attempts within the first 18 months and 18,000 miles.

We sent BMW a time-sensitive demand to repurchase the vehicle. They let the deadline pass. From there we moved into discovery, requesting documents and sworn answers, and BMW missed that deadline as well. That forced a motion to compel.

Every week BMW dragged this out added to the attorney fees they'd eventually be responsible for. They eventually came back to settle but couldn't agree with us on the fee amount, so a judge decided it. The court awarded fees several times higher than what we initially requested.

This should have been an easy repurchase from day one. Instead, BMW turned a simple case into a much more expensive one. If you're dealing with a repeat defect and multiple failed repairs, reach out to our team.

Honda's California lemon law strategy: fight every case, even the ones they know they'll lose.

Most manufacturers settle the lemon law claims they can't win. Honda takes a different approach — they fight everything, including cases they know will end in a loss and higher attorney's fees. The math isn't about your case. It's about discouraging the next hundred people from filing at all. If enough attorneys stop taking Honda cases because the fight costs more than it's worth, fewer claims make it through.

If you own a Honda that's been back to the dealership repeatedly for the same issue and a firm told you no, this is usually why. It's not a reflection of your case — it's a reflection of the fight Honda picks every time.

If you're dealing with a Honda lemon, reach out to our team. We take these cases.

California lemon law case: Ford Explorer ST transmission defect and full Ford repurchase.

Our client's Explorer ST had a transmission that slammed into gear hard enough to feel like an impact. The first two dealer visits were marked "could not duplicate." By the third visit, the dealer acknowledged the transmission needed real repair work.

Ford's ten-speed transmission has a known pattern where metal shed inside the unit jams the valve body — not a mystery defect, but one that took three visits to address.

We filed a California lemon law claim against Ford. Ford issued a full repurchase within 30 days — payments refunded and attorney's fees covered. Our client paid nothing.

If your vehicle has a recurring transmission defect the dealer keeps calling "could not duplicate," reach out to our team.

California lemon law case: Hyundai Elantra recurring defects and full Hyundai repurchase.

Our client's Elantra had its backup camera replaced three times within months. From there, the defects continued: the AC module, the temperature sensor, and the motor mounts all required repair. On the final visit alone, the car was out of service for 36 days.

We filed a California lemon law claim against Hyundai. Hyundai's response was slow throughout the case, with delayed replies at nearly every stage while our client continued making loan, insurance, and registration payments.

We pursued depositions and document demands. Hyundai issued a full repurchase. Our client paid nothing.

If your vehicle has recurring defects and repeated time out of service, reach out to our team.

California lemon law case: Audi e-tron GT recurring defects and full Audi repurchase with civil penalties.

Our client's e-tron GT had a center screen that repeatedly went black mid-drive, cutting off maps and vehicle controls. Multiple dealer repair attempts didn't resolve it. Separately, the vehicle was subject to a high-voltage battery recall, with Audi advising against parking the car near structures, homes, or workplaces due to fire risk.

We filed a California lemon law claim against Audi. Audi's defense disputed the reported defects. We pursued the claim through litigation.

Audi issued a full repurchase along with civil penalties. Our client paid nothing.

If your vehicle has a recurring screen defect or is part of a manufacturer recall, reach out to our team.

California lemon law case: Corvette Stingray Z51 transmission defect and full GM repurchase.

Our client's Corvette Stingray Z51 had under 3,000 miles when the transmission started throwing codes and locking itself into park. Three repair visits followed: a software calibration, the same codes and lockout returning, and finally a diagnosis that the transmission needed full replacement.

During that time, the dealer and GM each pointed him to the other, and he went three months without the car while still making payments on it.

We filed a California lemon law claim against GM. After the case was pursued, GM issued a full repurchase — every dollar refunded. Our client had already driven the Corvette trouble-free for months after the repair, at no real cost to him.

If you've been stuck between the dealer and the manufacturer with no clear answer, reach out to our team.

California lemon law case: Porsche Macan Electric defects and full Porsche repurchase after a goodwill payment.

Our client's Macan Electric died in her garage two days after purchase and had to be towed. Over the next four months, the dealer documented a control module defect draining the battery overnight, the screen going black while driving, and phantom braking on the freeway with nothing ahead of her.

Porsche offered a $5,000 goodwill payment, which she accepted and signed. When the phantom braking defect returned, she reached out to us.

We reviewed the signed goodwill payment and pursued a California lemon law claim. Porsche issued a full repurchase, minus the $5,000 already paid, with the loan paid off and attorney's fees covered. Our client paid nothing further.

A goodwill payment isn't the same as a full repurchase. If you've been offered one, reach out to our team before you sign.

California lemon law case: Range Rover tailgate defect and full Land Rover repurchase.

Our client's Range Rover had a tailgate that would appear closed, then pop back open on its own. He had to check it every time before walking away. The rear lamp assembly also failed, and the dealer traced it back into the vehicle's wiring.

The pattern was recurring electrical faults rather than one major failure — on a vehicle priced like a home down payment.

We sent Land Rover a California lemon law demand letter before litigation was necessary. Land Rover issued a full repurchase — payments refunded and attorney's fees covered. Our client paid nothing.

If your Range Rover has a tailgate, latch, or electrical defect the dealer hasn't resolved, reach out to our team.
