Labor Day weekend is coming up, which means more people will be traveling, celebrating, and spending time on California roads.
Unfortunately, holiday weekends can also bring an increased risk of impaired driving.
If alcohol is part of your plans, decide how you're getting home before the celebration starts. Choose a designated driver, call a rideshare, stay overnight, or make another plan that keeps you from getting behind the wheel.
And remember, you can do everything right and still encounter an impaired driver. Stay alert, give other vehicles plenty of space, and if you see someone driving dangerously, don't try to confront or follow them. Get somewhere safe and contact law enforcement when appropriate.
One decision can affect a lot of people. Let's make this Labor Day weekend a safe one!
If you or someone you love is injured by an impaired driver, you don't have to figure out the next steps alone. 📞 Call (562) 348-1400 to discuss your options.
