Bette's Bus Pt.3
Food insecurity remains a growing problem in our community. Our law firm recently donated “Bette’s Bus,” named after the Aitken family matriarch, which has led to a massive increase in the number of meals delivered over the past three months. Having an additional vehicle has allowed Caterina's Club to access families in Long Beach, Rancho Cucamonga, and parts of San Diego County. In this short video AAC’s Ashleigh E Aitken, a board member of Caterina's Club, talks with renowned Chef Bruno Serato about efforts to deliver cooked meals to local families hit hardest by the pandemic.
Bette's Bus Pt. 2
Aitken Aitken Cohn is “in the driver’s seat” when fighting food insecurity in our community. Our firm has teamed up with renowned Chef Bruno Serato and his non-profit Caterina's Club to deliver cooked meals to local families hit hardest by the pandemic. We recently donated “Bette’s Bus,” named after the Aitken family matriarch, which has led to exponential growth in the number of meals delivered over the past three months. In this short video, AAC’s Wylie Aitken talked to Chef Bruno about the inspiration behind Caterina's Club:
Bette's Bus
AAC is a proud supporter of Caterina's Club which began serving meals to hungry children at the Boys and Girls Club in Anaheim. Over the past year, due to COVID-19, the need for food increased dramatically. The organization shifted to serving meals to children and their families living in motels or low-income neighborhoods. Caterina's Club, founded by celebrated Chef Bruno Serato, went from serving 12-thousand meals a year to 300-thousand meals in 2020. The law firm recently donated “Bette’s Bus,” named after the Aitken family matriarch, which has led to exponential growth in the number of meals delivered over the past three months. Here’s a short video of the first time Bette saw the bus with her name on it!

Staff Spotlight: Courtney Zampino (Episode 3)
Our Staff Spotlight series is back with episode 3. The next person taking the spotlight is our Office Services Clerk, Courtney Zampino. This is a bittersweet episode as Courtney will be departing the company as she moves to England to attend law school. Although we are very sad to see her go, we are also very excited for her next adventure in life.
In this interview, Courtney talks about her humble beginnings growing up in Arizona, exactly how she made her way to Aitken*Aitken*Cohn, and her favorite aspects of working at the firm, among other things.
Good luck, Courtney!
Staff Spotlight: Richard Cohn (Episode 2)
We're back for episode 2 of our Staff Spotlight series that takes a look at an individual person from the firm each month. This time around, we decided to put the spotlight on Richard Cohn, the name partner that just celebrated his 30th anniversary with the firm. Congratulations, Rich!
As a special treat, we had Founding Partner Wylie Aitken host the interview.
Staff Spotlight: Gina King (Episode 1)
"Hi Gina, we are now more relaxed, and enjoying the quiet Fourth of July weekend. We wanted to let you know how much we appreciated your personal and caring guidance through the legal labyrinth over the past two years. I'm sure by now you are aware that our legal case has settled, and that the formal mediation process has yielded a significant settlement for us.
"You directed us through the details of the legal process with tremendous professional knowledge and skill. Your input and thoughtful counseling have given us comfort during our journey through the uncharted territory of the past two years. You filled in the "blanks" for Rich [Cohn, their attorney] in such a way that we always felt comfortable with the "details" of how to successfully proceed through each step in the process. Again, thank you for all your caring and knowledgable assistance."
That is a letter Gina King, our Client Services Specialist, recently received from a client. That's the kind of personal service she provides and the reason she is leading off our new Staff Spotlight series that puts the spotlight on key personnel that you don't always hear about, but we believe you should.
It'll be a monthly video series in which partner Chris Aitken interviews a key member of our staff, creating an opportunity to get to know them on a more personal level. You can watch the first episode featuring Gina King in the video.
