The two citations issued to Ararat were categorized as “AA” — ones in which violations were found to be a substantial factor in the death of a resident. Under California law, if a nursing home gets two such citations within two years, the state “shall commence action to suspend or revoke” its license.

California regulators faulted a Mission Hills nursing home for violations that played a part in the deaths of two residents in less than three months, potentially putting its license at risk.

Officials say that the teen was riding an e-bike or a makeshift motorcycle when they crashed with a car. This is the latest instance in a string of incidents that has local law enforcement concerned, urging parents to make sure they're aware of how their kids use the bikes to get around.

Police say the teen was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition after the violent crash in Santa Ana late Monday evening.

Edibles made by Santa Ana based Prophet Premium Blends, and sold under the Diamond Shruumz brand, have been recalled after being linked to 113 illnesses and 42 hospitalizations, according to the FDA's latest outbreak report. The agency is also investigating two potentially related deaths.

The products are made with a synthetic psilocybin called 4-acO-DMT that can potentially be hazardous.

The CSPC filed the lawsuit against Amazon for selling 418,818 units of product that the agency later flagged as defective. Hazardous items included faulty carbon monoxide detectors, potentially flammable clothing, and hair dryers that lacked electrocution protection.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission alleges the company didn't do enough to recall 400,000 defective product units sold between 2018 to 2021.

AAC is a proud supporter of Caterina's Club which began serving meals to hungry children at the Boys and Girls Club in Anaheim. Over the past year, due to COVID-19, the need for food increased dramatically. The organization shifted to serving meals to children and their families living in motels or low-income neighborhoods. Caterina's Club, founded by celebrated Chef Bruno Serato, went from serving 12-thousand meals a year to 300-thousand meals in 2020. The law firm recently donated “Bette’s Bus,” named after the Aitken family matriarch, which has led to exponential growth in the number of meals delivered over the past three months.
