Injuries happen every day, but not every injury is an avoidable accident. At Habbas & Associates, we believe that no one should suffer because of someone else’s carelessness, mistakes, or negligence. We believe that victims of avoidable accidents have the right to seek financial compensation for their suffering, including medical expenses, lost wages, and noneconomic damages for pain and suffering. This is why Habbas & Associates exists: to help people like you fight for the justice and compensation they need.

The insurance company wants your medical records. But why?

After a car accident, a request for your medical history can raise questions about what to share and how that information could be used.

Nick Habbas explains how prior medical records can become part of the conversation about your injuries and why understanding the request matters.

“What if I hire an attorney and we don’t recover anything?”

It’s a question worth asking, and Omar Habbas breaks it down.

In this video, Omar outlines Habbas Law’s contingency fee approach: if the firm does not recover compensation for you, you do not pay attorney’s fees or the case costs the firm advances.

Understanding how your representation is paid for can help you take the next step with greater confidence.

Confidential Policy Limits Resolution
Case Type: Wheelchair v. Auto

Our client sustained significant injuries after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street.

The injuries required extensive medical treatment and rehabilitation and resulted in lasting limitations affecting the client’s mobility, independence, and daily life.

The case required extensive litigation, including written discovery and multiple depositions, before the matter was ultimately resolved for the available confidential policy limits.

For this edition of Behind the Case, we recognize Supervising Litigation Attorney Angela Storey for her work litigating the matter and guiding the case through resolution.

Behind the Case: A Pedestrian’s Fight for Justice

$1 Million Settlement
Case Type: Pedestrian Accident

Our client was lawfully crossing the street at an intersection when she was struck by a turning vehicle.

The collision caused a serious forehead laceration and injuries to her head, neck, shoulders, and knees. Her treatment included two shoulder surgeries, injections, physical therapy, and neurological care related to her head injury.

The defense disputed that she sustained a head injury, attributed her orthopedic complaints to age-related degeneration, and challenged her medical expenses.

After extensive litigation, including written discovery and multiple depositions of treating physicians, the matter was resolved at mediation.

For this edition of Behind the Case, we recognize Supervising Litigation Attorney Angela Storey for her work in guiding the case through litigation and ultimately resolving the matter at mediation.
