Silicon Valley is a proud sponsor once again for the American Bar Association's Artificial Intelligence and Robotics National Institute October 14-15 at Santa Clara Law School. Stephen S. Wu is chairing the Institute again. He founded the Institute in 2019 and is leading it for the sixth time. From Shareholder Stephen Wu: Colorado is the first state to create privacy protection for neural data. HB 24-1058, signed by the Governor on April 17, expands the definition of "sensitive data" under its comprehensive privacy act to include neural data, as well as other forms of biological data. Massachusetts attorney delegates brief writing task to two recent law grads and an associate and is sanction $2k for failing to catch hallucinated case citations. The court based its sanctions on Mass. Rule 11. He admitted the mistakes and sought forgiveness, so he received only light sanctions. The conduct could also be disciplined for failure to supervise his staff.
