Fraud never takes a vacation. That’s why title & escrow’s vigilance in protecting against it must be constant.

Case in point: The American Land Title Association (ALTA) recently flagged an active phishing campaign targeting our industry. Fraudsters have been posing as ALTA, spoofing emails by using ALTA's name and logo to solicit payment information. The sender address in reported cases traces back to a .cz domain, not an official ALTA address.

ALTA recently put out an alert to the industry on the scam, noting it will never request members to review a document from a download link, login credentials, or credit card information/payment by phone or email.

Fraud is one of the most serious threats facing our industry. We're grateful to ALTA for getting this information out quickly. We believe that as an industry, sharing and acting on these alerts together is how we build a stronger collective defense. Qualia was putting in the miles for our industry in May, and we couldn't have enjoyed it more!

From Mississippi to Washington state, New England to California, our team was a strong presence at 15 title & escrow events, including conferences, seminars, and conventions.

We love being part of this industry, and the best thing of all is the people. Having the opportunity to set up a booth, give away a little free swag, and most importantly talk shop with title & escrow professionals about how we can help them succeed is something we genuinely love. In May, we were able to do just that everywhere from NS3 to land title association conventions around the country.
