✨ One year ago I met two incredible people who were looking for their forever home. And now, they’ve found it in the Berkeley Hills.

In this business nothing compares to the relationships you create. What started as a professional connection turned into a genuine friendship, and getting to hand over the keys to this home feels extra special.

This home has sweeping views of the Bay, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate right from the living room. A sun-drenched terraced garden that opens right off the dining room, and an updated kitchen with a delightful greenhouse window. It’s been lovingly cared for by the original owners, which was obvious in every detail.

Mortgage rates dipped to 5.99% on Friday and are now hovering around 6.0% - the lowest levels we’ve seen since 2022.

That’s significant because breaking below 6% removes a real psychological barrier for both buyers and sellers.

Buyers feel confident stepping back in, and with more inventory on the market, they’re seeing opportunity. Sellers are encouraged by renewed demand and competition for their homes. For many sellers, this is also the first time it feels realistic to move on from those 3%, 4%, or 5% pandemic-era rates.

The catch is that for every 1% drop in rates, roughly 5 million buyers re-enter the market.

So if you’ve been thinking about a spring move, now is the time to talk to your lender and get your financing lined up before there’s a flood of new buyers, because you can be sure that prices will go up as a result.
