Hi Everyone!

Hope you all had a nice holiday break :)

Kilpatrick Townsend and Stockton is in the process of organizing the 2017 Saul Lefkowitz Western Region Moot Court Competition and is looking for volunteers to act as bailiffs.

This is a great opportunity to get involved with the only national moot court competition dedicated to trademark and unfair competition law. In addition, after the final round of arguments, you will have the chance to network with other law students, attorneys, and sitting judges during the reception.

The Western Regional Competition will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Ninth Circuit Courthouse.

SELA is proud to announce, "Bar Night With The Warriors, Hosted by SELA!" The event will take place at Oracle Arena on Wednesday February 15, at 6pm with Tip-Off at 7:30pm. The event will include a pregame speaker event with Warriors General Counsel, David Kelly, as well as other Golden State Warrior executives (food and drinks will be provided). Following the event, we will all head to our seats and watch the Golden State Warriors take on the Sacramento Kings. Cost to attend the event is $65 and this includes entrance to the game. Tickets are limited and the deadline to order is Dec 1st!

SFMOMA is seeking one (1) first, second, or third year law student for a part-time (minimum 16-20 hours) or full-time legal internship working with the museum's General Counsel on a broad range of legal research, writing, and contractual, and drafting assignments for the museum.

Although it wasn't the focus of this mornings "Los Angeles Business Journal Mid-Year Economic Forecast & Trends Conference" We realized the importance of law and its effect on the economy. Law drives the economy whether it be in making less restrictive construction laws so that more homes, developments, etc. can be built therefore, impacting the economy, or laws to make education more affordable, which could also have an impact on the economy. Law drives change, Be apart of that change! #

Great time today at the UCLA Sport Summit. Got to hear UCLA basketball legend, Ed O'Bannon speak on issues such as his ground breaking lawsuit/case against the NCAA regarding the use of a student-athletes likeness.🏀🏈⚽️🏐
