Parkland Shooting officer NOT GUILTY on all charges. Watch on CNN.

A jury has acquitted on all counts the former school resource officer who stayed outside during the February 2018 massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida – absolving him of wrongdoing in the rare trial of a law enforcement officer for his response to a mass shooting.

VERDICT IS IN - Johnny Depp awarded 15 million (10 in punitive damages - which are damages designed to 'punish and deter') on his defamation claims. Amber Heard was awarded 2 million (no punitive damages) on one of her defamation claims against him. The net result looks like Depp is up 13 million. I expect an appeal on the 10 million punitive damage award to try to lower that.

Big verdict in domain name disputes. Chicago law firm from (with their Texas attorney) just lost trying to obtain my domain name TorrentDefenders.com. Just because you register a trademark with the USPTO does not mean you get to go scoop up domains that existed before you registered your mark. Bad move. Panel finds bad faith abuse of the process and reverse domain name hijacking.
