Meet Associate Brenda Quintanilla. She was just voted onto the board of Making Waves Education Foundation, a nonprofit that supports educational opportunities for college-bound, career-minded, historically underserved youth. But there's more to this story...
MWF was founded in Brenda's hometown of Richmond, California. Brenda first participated in the program in middle school (at age 13!). She went on to become part of MWF's first graduating high school class. She saw the value and stayed connected to MWF, benefitting from its career and alumni programs.
"I'm a product of this organization, and I'm so excited to have this full-circle moment," said Brenda. "I have always been passionate about helping other students and underserved youth access higher education and/or economic mobility – now I get to serve on this board and give back to the organization that gave so much to me!"
Congratulations to our hometown hero! This is what giving back looks like. We're honored to be part of Brenda's career journey! We've shared a few pics of Brenda (and her very proud mother).
