Lieff Cabraser partner Rachel Geman has been appointed Co-Lead Class Counsel in the nationwide consumer rights class action against mortgage loan servicer Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc. (“SPS”).

Plaintiffs allege SPS charged borrowers with residential mortgage loans a variety of unfair and unlawful fees, including excessive property-inspection fees. The Court certified nationwide classes asserting claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and for breach of contract, along with an alternative multistate class.
