On April 29, Brian Graziani was awarded as Finalist for Trial Lawyer of the Year by the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association. There are only four finalists each year. And this is the second year in a row he has achieved this recognition for his trial work (2021 & 2022).

We are very happy and appreciative for the recognition by SFTLA. And we are even more fulfilled by the help that we are able to provide for our wonderful clients.

We are proud to announce a success in trial at the Napa County Superior Court achieved by Brian Graziani. We took on a challenging medical malpractice case involving an elective plastic surgery that went wrong. The final pre-trial offer from the Defendants was $0. The final result of the court trial was a Judgment for the Plaintiffs in the amount of $514,000. This was a great result for our wonderful clients who were plainly wronged and deserving of the successful outcome. Just as it is written on the front of the courthouse building, "JUSTICE" was achieved.

We just spent two days taking various depositions in this law library for a case that we have venued in Butte County. It was a pleasure to work inside of such a beautiful, charming and historic building. Also, the librarian was wonderful, providing legal assistance to anybody who walked through the door looking for help. What a great place.

Did you know that if you are in a collision at a ski resort, generally the law does not allow you to recover for your injuries from the at-fault party? This is because the law says that collisions, and skier negligence, are risks that are assumed when a person participates in the sport of skiing.

However, we are pleased to inform you of our recent success in a skier v. snowboarder collision case. We found a way around the rule, and got a $480,000 settlement for our client, who justly deserved the money.

We were first notified about this case as being abandoned, and on the brink of being dismissed. We intervened, and revived the case. We argued that since the skier that caused the collision was skiing too fast in a designated slow zone, his conduct created a risk of injury beyond that normally expected in the sport of skiing. Successes like these make us feel good about what we do.

As a result of the two bicycle related deaths last week, the idea of "speeding cameras" has been suggested. The self-activating cameras will photograph speeding vehicles and automatically send a citation to the violators. Read more here: http://bit.ly/297SRsk

Do you follow the hands-free law while driving? People are now using Facebook Live, FaceTime, and Periscope more than ever while driving in San Francisco. Just because your phone is mounted, does not make it legal to stream live.

The California Office of Traffic Safety found that there are more people using cellphones while driving.
