Whether perpetrated by a man or a woman, sexual harassment is an abuse of power, it is wrong, and it is illegal.

And the state treasurer should be protecting our tax dollars, not causing our money to go to pay a sexual harassment settlement in her case.

On the long trails we call each other dirtbag or hiker trash, no matter who you are. Capitalism wants us to buy all the products and scrub and wash and clean ourselves and everything around us (especially women) all day long, but it’s not really necessary.

So we sweat. So we get dirty. Who cares? That’s part of being outside, where the sky is clear and the air is clean and the water is . . . disgusting on this part of the trail, hilariously so. I broke out in a giggle fit at this cow pond and cracked up all hot afternoon on the trail thinking about it.
