The Bar Association of San Francisco and its Justice & Diversity Center join the legal community in honoring the memory of former Executive Director and General Counsel, Drucilla “Dru” Ramey who passed away on Monday, August 3rd, 2026. During her tenure from 1985 to 2002, she made countless contributions to the local legal community and expanded access to justice for thousands of our neighbors. We thank her for her leadership and send our thoughts to her loved ones.

Thank you to all who made yesterday's Latinx Partner and Associate Summer Reception a memorable one, with a room filled with law students, attorneys at all levels and practices, and members of the judiciary ready to meet and support one another. Generously hosted by Hanson Bridgett, the reception featured remarks from Jennifer Marie Martinez, Erica Villanueva, Chief District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, Raymond Manzo, and Arturo J. González on their individual journeys as Latinx legal professionals and importance of engaging with communities such as this one.

This is a benchmark event for the Barristers Club as it allows for associates, summer associates, and law students to meet judges in an informal setting.
