: If someone is thinking of selling in the next 6 months, what should they start doing now?
Start prep even if you are six months out.
Step 1️⃣: Sit down with an experienced agent.
They have a pulse on the market and what’s working for others. Make sure you are talking to the right person; your friend who has flipped a house before is not someone you should be listening to. An experienced agent will give you a checklist on how to increase your property’s value.
Step 2️⃣: Audit your property.
Any old water leaks, roof repairs, etc.
Step 3️⃣: Focus on the updates that actually matter.
It’s about identifying the updates that’ll actually move the needle on your sale price versus the stuff that’s just spending money for the sake of spending money. The earlier you start, the more strategic you can be.
