Real estate is often about finding solutions. šŸ”

Today I met with our contractor buyers and the City of Ontario regarding a property that is currently boarded and uninhabitable.

Donnie, Senior Community Improvement Officer, walked us through the outstanding violations and what needs to happen to move the property forward. He was clear, helpful, and emphasized that the City wants to work with owners who are actively making progress and improving their properties.

Our buyers will now take on the rehabilitation, address the violations, and help bring this property back to life.

Advocating for Homeownership šŸ”šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Today I had the opportunity to meet with Congresswoman Judy Chu as part of the Citrus Valley Association of REALTORSĀ® and discuss an issue I see as especially important for first-time homebuyers: access to condominium financing.

I asked what Congress can do to make FHA, VA and conventional financing more accessible for condominiums and other entry-level properties, particularly when an entire development faces financing restrictions.

In Southern California, where affordability remains one of the biggest obstacles to homeownership, condos can provide an important entry point for first-time buyers. We need responsible lending standardsā€”but we also need to make sure qualified buyers arenā€™t unnecessarily shut out of attainable homeownership opportunities.

Being a REALTORĀ® is about more than helping people buy and sell homes. It also means advocating for policies that give more families a realistic opportunity to become homeowners.

Thank you to Congresswoman Chu and the Citrus Valley Association of REALTORSĀ® for the opportunity to have these important conversations.

Some of the best memories in life donā€™t happen in fancy places, they happen around a cramp fire, floating down a river, and sitting under a sky full of stars. Another unforgettable annual family camping trip at Kern Rivers Edge Campground in Sequoia national Forest. We spent our days rafting, lounging in the river, cooking meals together, laughing until our stomachā€˜s hurt, and ending each night around the campfire, sharing stories under a bright full moon. Itā€™s amazing watching the kids grow up while the traditions stay the same. Every year reminds me how valuable it is to slow down, unplug, and spend time with the people who matter most. Already looking forward to next year.
