Women of Color in Law

Women of Color in Law Women of Color in Law provides a supportive environment in which women of diverse backgrounds find guidance, education and inspiration through interactions

In 2002 ALJ Vallera Johnson initiated Women of Color in the Law luncheons to give law students and young lawyers an opportunity to network, socialize, and learn about the legal community, particularly issues experienced by women in the legal profession. Over the years, judges, attorneys, law firms, and the three law schools have joined in support of this event. The majority of the attendees are wo

men judges, attorneys, and law students from local law schools. Some years ago, retired Superior Court Judge Lillian Lim began working with Judge Johnson on the production of these luncheons. Now we are incorporated as Women of Color in Law, Inc.
