Partner Jon Williams obtained an important decision from the California Supreme Court (https://www.courts.ca.gov/opinions/documents/S259215.PDF). The CA Supremes held that statutory protections (notice of cancellation, naming a secondary notice recipient etc.) apply retro actively to all policies in effect at the time the law was passed, rather than to policies issued after the law was passed. This case provides additional protections to life insurance policy holders.

Sunday night, people smashed 11 of 18 windows at our downtown office. Fortunately, no one was hurt and there was no compromise of our clients’ information. We are re-building and open for business.
