The American Federation of Government Employees National President Everett Kelley issued the following statement in response to a new executive order signed today by President Trump that identifies thousands of positions to be converted to the new Schedule Policy/Career hiring authority:

AFGE District 12 staff held organizing blitzes in Las Vegas, Bakersfield, Calif., and Riverside, Calif., during the month of April. Across these efforts, they recruited 40 new members and engaged with 350 employees.

Over the past year, the Trump administration has tried its best to silence your voice and crush your union. But we have news for President Trump and his anti-labor zealots: AFGE isn’t going anywhere.
