The drama may or may not be over, but as of this moment, beneficial ownership reporting requirements are back in effect, with a new deadline of March 21, 2025 for most companies. FinCEN will assess its options for further modifying deadlines.

Politics aside, President Biden's Bureau of Reclamation has done things over 4 years that were unimaginable 10 years ago. In fairness and in reality, it likely took a reconstituted IID board to be seated, to enable the Bureau to do so. All the same, there were no winners and losers--everyone involved over that same 10 years played an important part of this evolving dynamic, and contributed to this eventual progress.

This is an interesting piece from distinguished ethicist Robert L. Kehr, asking "[w]hat are the ethical consequences for a lawyer asked to represent a suspended corporation or limited liability company?" If the answer surprises, it's better to be surprised here than in court!
