Four months of hard work went into transforming this 1933 Craftsman in North Mission Hills, and it sold before the five-month mark.
The goal was never to give it a generic "flip" look. We wanted to preserve the details that make Mission Hills one of San Diego’s most iconic neighborhoods while updating the home for modern living.
A few of my favorite details:
The Office – We kept the original wood floors and window, added a bold design element, and leaned into the home's history with a hidden prohibition-era inspired liquor closet.
The Floors – Wide plank oak flooring throughout the main living spaces creates a bright, airy feel while complementing the home's original character.
The Exterior – Native San Diego landscaping, fresh paint, and thoughtful design choices completely transformed the curb appeal.
The best part? It never even made it to the open market. We found a buyer who appreciated the vision and craftsmanship as much as we did.

If you're thinking about renovating, selling, or investing in San Diego real estate, I'd be happy to share what I've learned from projects like this one.
