🎥🚔⚖️Unbelievable police qualified immunity cases (part 3).

⚖️San Diego civil rights lawyer Tim Scott describes a case out of Texas, where a man with admitted mental health issues was placed in a cell alone (but, with a 30-foot telephone cord inside).

💔⚖️🚔Tragically, when the man unalived himself, the lawsuit filed by his mother was thrown out on qualified immunity. Had he used bedding to unalive himself, it might have turned out differently. But, because there hadn’t been an exact precedent involving an unaliving in a jail cell using a telephone cord, it fell under qualified immunity.

❓⚖️Is that justice? Of course not.

🎥Police-involved dog shooting myths (Part 2). ❓If an officer is in fear for his/her safety, it’s important to note whether law enforcement should have been there in the first place. ⚖️💔In the tragic case of Daisy, the officer had no warrant and was trespassing — therefore, he brought the dangerous condition upon himself. ⚖️✅As San Siego civil rights lawyer Tim Scott explains, officers don’t get to create the danger and then hide behind it. 🚔✅Fear is not a defense to being somewhere you have no right to be.” Keep following for more updates on the fight for justice in Daisy’s case.
