What a great time with NECA Southern Washington last week!

Pam Scholefield with Onsite Pro Development had the opportunity to lead a workshop for their members, and between the beautiful Washington scenery near Mount Rainier and the enthusiastic participation, it was a fantastic experience!

The feedback afterward was especially encouraging! Attendees highlighted so many different parts of the training as valuable, including the claims process, negotiating contract clauses, time management, redlining, and more.

One attendee shared:

💬 “Excellent course covering more topics than I expected. Gave me a lot to consider and information I can take immediate action with. Critical path – awesome!!”
- Sandifer Deer, E Squared Systems LLC

Thank you for the kind words, Sandifer!

That's exactly what we hope to accomplish with our workshops: providing practical information that participants can take back to their businesses and put to use.

A big thank you to National Electrical Contractors Association - NECA Southern Washington for having us and to everyone who attended and shared their feedback.

What if, instead of designing walkways and expecting people to follow them, you watched where people naturally wanted to go and built around that?

That idea helped shape a new live-work campus in Culver City where architecture, landscape, housing, work, and transit come together around how people actually move through a space.

There’s a reason worn paths appear across lawns and open spaces. We don’t always walk where a sidewalk tells us to.

⚡Standing room only in Las Vegas on Wednesday!

Over 100 people at the National Convention packed in for Pam Scholefield’s presentation on “Getting It All Done” by using your PERSONAL CRITICAL PATH, and the energy in that room was terrific!

The topic? Something nearly every construction professional can relate to: How do you get it all done without sacrificing your life outside of work?

Here's the idea that got them leaning in. Your brain hunts down and confirms whatever it believes is important to you. Tell it you're too busy to have a life, and it will go find the evidence. Every late night, every canceled plan, every lost Saturday becomes proof. Change the story to "I have plenty of time" and watch what happens. Your brain helps you design the path that gets you there.

Structure is key. 🗝️ Give your brain a scheduled time to check emails and do the other important work you have, and it stops worrying that it's missing something. No more FOMO running in the background taxing your brain.

And multitasking? It doesn't exist. Your brain is really switching back and forth in an instant giving itself whiplash, and one three-second glance at a text costs you 20 minutes to re-focus.

You could see it click with the audience. Folks stayed after the session ended to talk about how to lead their work instead of letting it lead them.

So, build a week your brain can trust. A week that tells the truth: you can handle your workload and whatever comes your way without crushing yourself under long hours and missed weekends.

Thank you to National Electrical Contractors Association - NECA and everyone who joined Pam to learn how they, too, can Get It All Done while creating their best life outside of work!

At 22, Amber bought her first home. But getting there looked very different from what she had always imagined.

She wasn’t making a six-figure salary, and there wasn’t one big financial breakthrough that suddenly made homeownership possible overnight. Instead, it came down to an aggressive saving method, some help along the way, and eventually being willing to rethink what her first home needed to look like.

After attending The Next Horizon and hearing the conversation around housing affordability for young professionals, Amber began reflecting on her own path to homeownership and what made a goal that once felt so far out of reach become possible.

In this Young Professional article, she shares the honest financial story behind buying a home at 22, the saving method that helped her get there, and why sometimes reaching a big goal means being willing to take a path you never originally pictured.

Some lessons are better learned from someone else’s experience.

As a training company, we understand the value of learning from people who have faced the challenges, made the mistakes, and figured out what works. That’s why the Onsite Pro Development team is looking forward to attending Been There, Built That today with BIA San Diego!

We’ll be hearing from local construction business leaders about the mistakes, growing pains, and hard-earned lessons that have shaped the way they lead and operate their companies today.

From people and culture to cash flow, systems, safety, compliance, and growth, we’re looking forward to a candid conversation about the realities of building and growing a construction business and the lessons these leaders wish they had known sooner.

You don’t have to experience every challenge firsthand to learn from it. Sometimes, one of the best ways to grow is to listen to those who have already been there.

We’re looking forward to an afternoon of learning, connecting, and bringing a few lessons back with us!

Will we see you there? Come say hello! 👋

Honoring Native American Day

Before California was California- before the industry, the infrastructure, the contracts- this land had people. Nations with their own languages, laws, and ways of life. More than 100 federally recognized Tribal Nations call this state home, and that presence endured.

This day is a reminder to pause, acknowledge that history honestly, and make the effort to learn something we might not have known before.

From all of us at OnSite Pro Development, we wish everyone a meaningful Native American Day.

Your team knows how to build. But do they know how to protect the work they’re building?

A successful project takes more than technical skill. Contracts, change orders, documentation, negotiation, communication, and claims can all affect what happens long after the work begins.

That’s where Onsite Pro Development comes in.

Through our workshops, we provide practical training designed around the real situations construction professionals face every day. We help teams better understand the business side of construction and build the confidence to handle it.

No lectures filled with theory. Just practical information, real-world examples, and skills your team can actually use.

Because the more your team knows, the more confidently they can make decisions when it matters.

Knowledge + Confidence is Real Power.

Ready to bring practical training to your team? Connect with us to learn more.

⚡ What a great afternoon with the NECA crew!

Yesterday, the Onsite Pro Development and Scholefield Construction Law teams had a great time at the Electrical Industry Barbecue & Open House, catching up with familiar faces after the summer break from NECA meetings, meeting new people, and enjoying some seriously delicious barbecue! 🍖

The conversations were great, but one of the highlights of the afternoon was getting a look inside the Electrical Training Institute and seeing so many apprentices training for careers in the electrical industry.

We all hear about the need to bring more young people into the skilled trades, so it was especially encouraging to see just how many apprentices are already learning, training, and building careers in the electrical industry. ⚡

Thank you to everyone who helped put together such a great afternoon. It was good to be back with the NECA San Diego community, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone again soon!
