Indemnify. Defend. Hold harmless.

Three phrases you've probably seen buried in a subcontract. But do you know how much risk may be hiding behind them?

Indemnity provisions can be some of the most important language in your subcontract, yet they're also some of the easiest to skim over. And the risk doesn't always appear under a section conveniently labeled "Indemnity."

Damaged work. Additional insured requirements. Flow-down obligations. Responsibility for other trades. Different provisions can potentially shift costs and responsibility onto your business in ways you may not immediately recognize.

The key isn't just knowing which words to look for. It's learning to ask a bigger question:

"Am I agreeing to take responsibility for something outside my scope, control, or mistakes?"

What an incredible morning supporting our veterans!

Last Saturday, Onsite Pro Development was proud to join the Associated Subcontractors Alliance FLEX Squad for the Wounded Warrior Project Carry Forward 5K- and we're especially proud to share that the FLEX Squad finished as the #1 Fundraising Squad! 🎉

A special shoutout to FLEX Squad leader Oliver Craig, who raised an incredible $10,375 this year and finished as the #2 individual fundraiser, and Amber Webb, who raised $3,425.00 and finished as the #3 individual fundraiser! 👏

This year’s Carry Forward 5K brought together 2,500 people, the event's largest turnout yet, all walking, jogging, and running in support of wounded veterans and their families.

Throughout the course, participants carried flags, weights, and reminders of who they were there to honor. It was an incredibly touching morning and a powerful example of what can happen when a community comes together for a meaningful cause.

Thank you, Wounded Warrior Project, for the work you do to honor and empower wounded warriors and their families. ❤️🤍💙

🤠⛳ What a day at AGC San Diego's Affiliate Day Golf Tournament!

One of our favorite events of the year did not disappoint!

The Onsite Pro Development and Scholefield Construction Law teams had a blast meeting golfers from across the industry at our Lasso Showdown. From first-time cowboys to a few natural ropers who looked like they'd stepped straight out of a rodeo, everyone was eager to give it a shot!

The prize wallets were a huge hit, too. Golfers loved the slim design and a lucky handful even roped their way to $50 prizes! 💰🤠

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to laugh, cheer each other on, and make this year’s tournament another memorable one. We always look forward to this event, and we're already counting down to next year!

And thank you to AGC San Diego for organizing another outstanding Affiliate Day! We appreciate all the work that goes into making this one of our favorite events every year.

A great conversation about the future of South County.

Last week, we attended BIA San Diego's y|GEN event, The Next Horizon: Exploring Chula Vista's Expanding Landscape, at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference.

It was encouraging to see so many young professionals engaged in the conversation around housing, development, and the future of our region. With so much growth planned for South County, these discussions are helping shape the communities where future generations will live and work.

Thank you to BIA San Diego, y|GEN, and the panelists for sharing their insights. We especially enjoyed seeing y|GEN members helping lead conversations on issues that will have a lasting impact on our industry and communities.

🏐 What a way to spend a Saturday!

The Dodge 'Em Cowboys had an absolute blast at BIA San Diego's inaugural Dodgeball Tournament!

While our record may not have landed us in the championship bracket, the day was filled with cheering, fierce competition, and plenty of laughs.

As a proud SCC team sponsor, Onsite Pro Development was happy to provide team shirts, snacks, and beverages to help keep the Cowboys fueled throughout the day.
