Maybe I’m a real estate nerd…

But on a recent trip to the Tower of the Americas, I realized I was more interested in the street patterns, development outlines, and how the city has grown than the food or atmosphere. 😂

One of my favorite college classes was Historical Geography of the United States. Basically, we studied how settlement spread across the country—and how geography influenced who built where, when they built, and why.

In a weird way, that class was my introduction to real estate development.

Because if you look at a satellite image of almost any city, you’re seeing decades—or centuries—of those decisions playing out.

The real trick isn’t seeing where development is today.
It’s figuring out where the pattern is going next.

Find it early.
Buy there.
And wait.

That’s real estate.

Why can two builders give you wildly different prices for the same house?

Sure, materials matter.

There’s $2/sq. ft. flooring… and there’s $15/sq. ft. flooring.

But sometimes a pretty big chunk of the price difference comes down to service.

Red-carpet service has a price tag.

If you want ch*****ne at the walkthrough, a polished showroom, constant communication, and someone holding your hand through every step—you’re going to pay for that experience.

On the other hand, there’s the builder showing up in a beat-up truck who says, “Yep. We can build it. Here’s the price.”

Different experience. Different price.

Not necessarily better or worse. Just different.
