ABC13's 13 Investigates recently examined multiple medical malpractice lawsuits filed against plastic surgeon Dr. Dare Ajibade, including the case of our client, Junis Maldonado.

Junis was 27 years old when she underwent a liposuction procedure in May. According to our lawsuit filed in the Bexar County 45th Judicial District, Junis suffered multiple seizures and cardiopulmonary arrest during the procedure, resulting in a devastating hypoxic brain injury. She is expected to suffer permanent neurological and functional disabilities for the rest of her life.

Beth Janicek spoke with ABC13's Mycah Hatfield about Junis' case and the need for accountability.
