San Antonio Housing Market Update ๐ก
If you're moving to San Antonio, this week's numbers show buyers still have something valuable: negotiating power.
For August 17 through August 23:
๐ก 6,501 active homes
๐ 999 new listings
๐ 2,059 price changes
๐ 663 homes sold
๐ฐ $305,000 median sold price
๐ค $9,934 average seller concessions
๐ 61 median days on market
๐ฆ 6.77% 30 year mortgage rate
๐บ๐ธ 6.35% VA mortgage rate
The number that stands out to me? Sellers contributed almost $10,000 on average toward buyer expenses.
Depending on the transaction, those concessions could potentially help with closing costs, prepaid expenses or an interest rate buydown.
For buyers relocating to San Antonio, remember that the purchase price is only part of the equation. Property taxes, commute times, HOA costs, builder incentives and neighborhood location can dramatically change what makes sense for your budget.
I've helped 225+ families relocate to San Antonio, and I help my clients understand the numbers before we ever write an offer.
