In 1986, the Tower of the Americas had already been part of the San Antonio skyline for 18 years. From its observation deck, visitors could look out over a city that was much smaller than the San Antonio we know today.

Four decades later, the Tower remains one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks, standing above a skyline that has grown alongside the businesses, neighborhoods and communities below it.
