The old landscaping has been cleared, the pre-listing inspection is complete, and we’re busy gathering quotes, coordinating repairs, and planning the finishing touches that will help this home shine.

What I love most? These sellers are doing all the right things! Rather than rushing to market, they’re taking the time to thoughtfully prepare their home, address potential concerns, and make a great first impression when the time comes.

There’s still work to be done, but that’s all part of the journey. And I can’t wait to show you the transformation!

Good night from one of our favorite places.

This home was really something when it was built. And honestly? There’s still a LOT here worth keeping.

Walk through the front door and the stone fireplace immediately commands your attention. Hardwood floors. French doors opening to a covered patio. A first-floor primary. A flexible bonus room. Storage everywhere.

Upstairs, each of the three bedrooms has a walk-in closet, plus there’s a loft, dual-vanity bath and built-in storage.

Then head outside to a .38-acre setting filled with mature trees, a wide covered patio and an in-ground pool tucked into the lower portion of the backyard. 🌳

Yes, there’s room to update this 1979 home to your own taste.

But that’s not what makes it interesting.

I set my alarm a little earlier than usual this morning. 😊

At 7:00 a.m., I had the privilege of joining people from around the world for a World Health Organization webinar marking the UN International Day of Older Persons.

This year’s theme, “The Age of Longevity: Rethinking Systems for Longer Lives,” hits especially close to home for me.

I spend a lot of time thinking about what it means to live well as we grow older, and about the families navigating those changes alongside the people they love. So much of what I heard this morning affirmed something I believe deeply: longer lives should mean more than simply more years. They should include health, dignity, purpose, choice and the opportunity to continue contributing.

And throughout it all, the voices of older adults themselves must remain at the center of the conversation.

There is encouraging progress happening around the world. There is also much more work to do.

Today, I’m simply grateful to have started my day listening, learning and thinking about what longer, healthier lives can and should look like.

Happy International Day of Older Persons. ❤️

P.S. And I learned that the spelling of “aging” is standard in the U.S. and Canada, while “ageing” is standard in British English and Commonwealth countries :)
