For 22 years, I worked as a police officer, sergeant, and union representative. I watched first responders suffer harm: personally, professionally, and financially, for doing their jobs and “standing in the gap.” After I retired, I went to law school so I could continue to work with all the great people in our emergency services, but now I will be working on their behalf and for all employees.
