About Us

At Richards Law, PC in Salt Lake City, UT, we are full-service community association law firm with more than 20 years of experience providing representation in all matters related to homeowner associations (HOAs), condominium associations, townhomes and planned unit developments (PUDs). We represent clients across Utah from Logan to St. George and represent community associations and homeowners alike. Our services include general counsel, collections from delinquent owners, foreclosure sales, enforcement of community association’s governing documents, and drafting and recording CC&Rs & bylaws to ensure communities are up to date with Utah law.

Our founding attorney, John Richards, has practiced HOA representation during his entire 20+ year career and is among a select few attorneys in the entire country to be admitted to the College of Community Association Lawyers. John has successfully lobbied several HOA-related bills before the Utah State Legislature and regularly conducts board training classes and HOA law seminars.

A key part of our mission is to promote a high quality of life in communities throughout Utah. We believe that ongoing education about HOA law can help us achieve that goal by promoting their well-being, which in turn helps increase property values. To that end we regularly conduct free educational courses, which we call “HOA University”, and frequently address individual boards, associations, and managers on topics specific to their needs. You can also learn more about HOA matters on our YouTube channel, “Late Night Lawyer.” Lastly, more information can be found on our blog at: https://johnrichardshoalawblog.com/.

The skills and experience of our outstanding team of attorneys are ready to help you find a solution for whatever your association needs. To discuss your goals and concerns, please call us today at 801-274-6800, or visit our website at http://richardshoalaw.com/.
