Spring is the Super Bowl season of real estate.

For sellers, it’s the best time to list. Everything is coming alive. Grass is green, flowers are blooming, weather is warmer, there’s more natural light. Homes show their best. Buyers are also getting tax refunds and want to make a move before the school year.

For buyers, more sellers typically list their homes than any other time of year. More inventory means more options for you to find the perfect home at the perfect price and terms.

There are lots of motivated sellers in today’s market!

The small jump in rates over the last month has created a perfect storm for serious buyers, in my opinion. In reality the half percent or so jump in rates is a relatively small difference on a mortgage payment, but many buyers have dropped out of the market in fear of the headlines being pushed by the media surrounding this topic.

This means less competition and more leverage for you as a serious buyer.

On top of price reductions and closing cost credits we can often get motivated sellers to buy down your interest rate anyways!
