Crook Legal Group PLLC is excited to announce that Bryant T. Hinckley has joined the firm as an Of Counsel Attorney. Bryant will be supporting Crook Legal Group’s clients with their business, commercial, and real estate needs. With Bryant’s addition, Crook Legal Group will also be able to expand its offerings to its clients. Bryant comes to Crook Legal Group with extensive experience assisting businesses and individuals with their federal and state tax controversies

Before joining Crook Legal Group, Bryant worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the Tax and Financial Services Division of the Utah Attorney General’s Office. He represented the Utah State Tax Commission in Federal District Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and Utah District Court. He also represented the Tax Commission’s Auditing Division in administrative appeals held before the Utah State Tax Commission.

Prior to working for the Utah Attorney General's office, Bryant spent two years as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Utah Low Income Taxpayer Clinic where he taught tax practice and procedure to law students and represented taxpayers during IRS examinations, collections, appeals, and U.S. Tax Court.

Bryant received his JD from Brigham Young University and his BA in Anthropology, History, and Latin American Studies from the University of Utah, Phi Beta Kappa. During law school, he developed a love for tax law and completed an internship with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel in Salt Lake City.
