Diana is a premier appellate specialist whose practice includes appellate litigation, dispositive motions, trial support, and counseling in high-stakes litigation. Diana brings a unique 360-degree perspective cultivated over nearly three decades of experience at the highest levels of the legal profession -- as a trial attorney in high-profile cases, a top federal appellate advocate, and a Justice of the Utah Supreme Court. Her service on both sides of the bench, combined with her dual-competency in state and federal law and trial and appellate practice, provides clients with an unparalleled strategic edge.
Before joining Dentons, Diana served for nine years on Utah’s appellate bench, first on the Utah Court of Appeals and then on the Utah Supreme Court. During her judicial tenure, she heard hundreds of appeals and authored 158 published opinions spanning the full spectrum of Utah law. This experience allowed her to develop a comprehensive command of complex state-law issues while gaining a rare insider’s perspective on the internal mechanics of judicial decision-making—knowing precisely how judges evaluate briefs, identify dispositive legal issues, and reach final decisions.
