(DACA) program.
**What is DACA?**
DACA provides temporary protection from deportation and grants work authorization to eligible individuals who came to the U.S. as children. This program has offered life-changing stability to hundreds of thousands of young people since its inception in 2012.
**Who is Eligible to Apply for DACA?**
To submit a new DACA application, you must meet the following criteria
* You were under the age of 31 as of June 15, 2012
* You came to the U.S. before your 16th birthday
* You have continuously resided in the U.S. since June 15, 2007
* You were physically present in the U.S. on June 15, 2012, and at the time of your application
*You had no lawful immigration status on June 15, 2012
*You are currently in school, have graduated or obtained a certificate of completion from high school, or have been honorably
discharged from the U.S. military
* You have not been convicted of a felony, significant misderneanor, or three or more other misdermeanors, and you do not pose a threat to national security or public safety
