🏡 You Have an Estate Plan. But Does It Still Reflect Your Life Today?

Be honest… when was the last time you actually looked at your will or trust? 🤔

Five years ago? Ten? Maybe you signed it and haven't thought about it since!

Life changes, and your estate plan should change with it. Marriage, divorce, children, grandchildren, changes in assets, or even the people you've named to make decisions for you can all be reasons to revisit your plan.

This week is National Estate Planning Awareness Week, and it's a great reminder that having an estate plan is only half the battle. Making sure it still works for you is just as important!

We've put together a blog highlighting common estate planning mistakes that are easy to overlook.

📖 Are you making any of these mistakes? Find out here:

These roles require different strengths, and the person who is right for one may not necessarily be the best choice for another.

Our latest blog discusses what to consider when choosing your health care agent, financial agent, trustee and personal representative.

🏡 What happens when a seller needs to stay in the home after closing?

Many Wisconsin real estate transactions include a post-occupancy agreement (sometimes called a "rent-back" agreement), allowing the seller to remain in the property for a period of time after closing. While these arrangements can be beneficial, they also raise important questions about insurance, security deposits, maintenance responsibilities, and what happens if the seller doesn't move out on time.

In our latest blog, we break down the key considerations buyers and sellers should understand before signing a post-occupancy agreement.
