Thank you for the prayers today. The positive energy worked! We reached a compromise so this bill *should* pass this session. Fingers crossed that soon military families here in Oregon will have one less thing to worry about during a deployment. Let's keep military families together!

Kentucky guardsman Eva Slusher (formerly Eva Crouch).
Slusher spent 6 years and $25,000 fighting to regain custody of her daughter following a deployment. She partnered with U.S. Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio) to enact federal protections for military servicemembers’ parental rights. The bill became law in 2014 after an 8 year battle in the U.S. Congress.
