We had an amazing time at our team retreat at Create A Memory last week!

What a wonderful opportunity to step away from the office, spend quality time together, and tap into our creative side. We’re incredibly fortunate to have a team that not only works hard, but truly enjoys spending time together.

Estate tax changes for Oregonians could be on the way - we are watching Senate Bill 1511 closely, as it would substantially impact many of our clients. Some would see tax relief, to the tune of around $150,000 of savings for estates of $2.5 million, and continuing to improve with inflation going forward. However, for estates over $3 million, tax rates would be increasing up to 3.9% for some families.

A bill that would raise the threshold on Oregon's estate tax was discussed by the Senate Revenue Committee on Feb. 18.

Attorney Mayra Gonzalez recently had the opportunity to visit Woodburn High School as a guest speaker, where she spoke with students about her career path and her experiences in the legal profession.

Mayra shared her personal journey and answered students' questions about education, perseverance, and what it means to build a career through hard work and determination. Her message focused on encouraging students to stay motivated and believe in their ability to succeed, no matter where they start.

We're proud of Mayra for taking the time to give back to the community and serve as a positive role model for students.
