Today is a special closing!!! 🏡
My buyers are officially HOMEOWNERS — and what makes this one even more meaningful is that they are in their early 20s and are the very first homeowners in their family’s history. Think about that for a second…BIG deaaal. They didn’t come from a long line of parents and grandparents who could tell them exactly how to buy a house or hand down help/tips. They’re creating that first chapter themselves!! And I am incredibly honored that I got to be the Realtor in their corner while they did it.
Buying a home in today’s market is not impossible; Yes, interest rates are higher than the historic lows we became “accustomed” to. Yes, there are plenty of headlines telling you that buying a home is unaffordable, that rates are too high, and that you’ll never be a homeowner. These buyers are paying the same as a rental.
But what those headlines don’t always tell you is what is actually happening inside individual transactions in REAL LIFE. Not scare tactic news articles.
With the right Realtor, the right lender, and the right strategy, there are still insane opportunities to structure a REALLY good deal right now. For these buyers, we were able to secure a competitive interest rate, negotiate a great purchase price, and structure the transaction in a way that made sense for their financial situation(zero down).
And then their appraisal came back $38,000 ABOVE the purchase price. On a home in the $300,000 range. Crazy!🤯
That means they walked into homeownership with an incredible amount of built-in value from day one. THIS is why I love what I do. Real estate isn’t just about opening doors, posting cute homes and writing offers. It’s about knowing the market well enough to recognize an opportunity, knowing what to negotiate, press hard, understanding the financing options available to your buyers, and putting the right people around the transaction to make the numbers work.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you reach out to me. You don’t need to be ready to write an offer tomorrow. And you certainly don’t need to know everything about buying a home. That’s what I’m here for, hello!!?! 🤭😉
