Having insurance doesn’t always mean having enough insurance.
If an at-fault driver’s Bodily Injury (BI) limits aren’t enough to fully compensate you for your injuries and damages, your own Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist coverage may provide additional protection.
You may see the terms UM and UIM used interchangeably. In Florida, UM coverage generally includes protection when the at-fault driver has no BI coverage or has BI limits that are insufficient to cover your damages.
Call Kovar Tip: When reviewing your auto policy, don’t just ask whether you have UM coverage—check your limits too. The amount of coverage can make a major difference after a serious accident.
