Case managers and attorneys had the pleasure of attending today’s Upper Midwest Immigration Law Conference. Some presented as key speakers on a panel and everyone had the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals in the immigration legal field. Our firm’s day to day work is fueled by our passion to advocate for our clients and events like this fuel us to continue to not only put our best work forward but to reflect on what has occurred in the field and how we can improve. As former Judge Ryan Wood shared with us during the keynote speaker session, although the floor is moving underneath our feet with emerging laws, we need to keep in mind that our work matters, it’s important to do our work with a purpose and lastly, there is no better way for us to represent our clients than to acknowledge the weakness and strengths in our cases. We will keep this in mind moving forward.
Los administradores de casos y los abogados tuvieron el placer de asistir hoy a la Conferencia sobre Derecho Migratorio del Alto Medio Oeste. Algunos participaron como ponentes principales en una mesa redonda y todos tuvieron la oportunidad de establecer contactos con personas afines del ámbito jurídico migratorio. El trabajo diario de nuestro bufete se nutre de nuestra pasión por defender a nuestros clientes, y eventos como este nos animan a seguir no solo dando lo mejor de nosotros mismos, sino también a reflexionar sobre lo que ha ocurrido en el sector y cómo podemos mejorar. Como nos compartió el exjuez Ryan Wood durante la sesión del ponente principal, aunque la tierra se mueve bajo nuestros pies con las nuevas leyes, debemos tener presente que nuestro trabajo importa, que es importante hacerlo con un propósito y, por último, que no hay mejor manera de representar a nuestros clientes que reconocer las debilidades y fortalezas en los casos. Tendremos esto en cuenta de cara al futuro.
